Osborne House is a former royal residence on the Isle of Wight, near East Cowes, England. It was built between 1845 and 1851 for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as their private summer retreat. Prince Albert helped design the house in an Italian Renaissance style inspired by villas he admired in Italy.
