Позже следствие выдвинет три основные версии: - Деньги и ценности. Первоначальной целью было хранилище и содержимое банковских ячеек. - Использование городского хаоса. Нападавшие рассчитывали, что беспорядки на улицах задержат прибытие полиции. - Дополнительная цель. Среди изъятых материалов могли находиться документы или электронные данные, интересовавшие организаторов атаки больше, чем наличные.
